All, Found this picture online at Getty Images. Wish I knew the story behind this gun, it definitely saw some use. Notice the missing piece of the front grip exposing the grip mount. I can't read the small plaque, which may be a clue to its origin. Anyway, it is a serial No. 2373, not in Gordon Herigstad's Colt Serial Number Book.
