  1. All original post Imperial Army manual collection. Not just MGs as the manuals cover all sorts - from small arms, tactics, AA usage, equipment. optics, and so on. However the focus is on the MGs up to 1937. Pull out posters/diagrams, superb detailed diagrams, colour plates and photos. AH in the front and some unit stamped including SS. Please email if of serious interest as I have lots of photos to send and/or can do more on request. Worthy of a museum and a serious collector/enthusiast. Either contact me through the Forum or direct mark.finneran@hotmail.co.uk 11 large manuals, nice front covers!! and lots of cards/pamphlets etc. Including postage US$2200. This is some US$800 less than the European price. Trades sought are WWI German MG08 or 08/15 related. Postage will not be issue (APO). Mark
  2. I recently purchased a semi auto TWN MG34 and right from the start she would stove pipe the spent cartridges. I tried just about eveything to fix the issue but to no avail. So far I changed the recoil spring, barrel, bolt assembly, ejector pin and many other parts. I decided to take a high speed video of the problem and it seems to be something really silly and easy to fix. Basically the round is extracted, comes out, bounces off the trigger guard and goes back towards the front of the rifle into the ejection slot and then gets slamed back into the gun by the bolt assembly. It would seem that by adjusting the angle of the trigger guard so that the cartridge would bounce downwards instead of upwards would solve the problem. Unfortunately I tried attaching various things to the trigger guard to adjust the deflection but to no avail. You can see the high speed video at If anyone could look at the video and offer some kind of suggestion as to what might be happening or a possible fix, would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Hi, i'm looking for an extra plunger + push button for the MG34 barrel shroud A25 and A27 PM me if you want to sell them. Thanks
  4. Weve had this tripod for many years. I understand that there are not many out there. It is a combination of original paint and what appears to be a desert tan application somewhere along the way. It appears to be a 1940 manufacture date. It has the Waffenamt code marks on it. The original paint work is seen throughout the tripod. The manufacturer marking appears to be a triangle with S562, Metallindustrie Schonebeck A.C. Date appears to be 1940. There are Waffenamt code marks on some of the small parts. Indicative of an early manufacture. The search fire mechanism is a 1942 axx code of Linden & Funke KG, Iserlohn. Most likely an addition later on. The pads on the front leg appear to be worn or may have been a field replacement. I might remove some of the paint on the main body to get a clear view of the triangle code. But, I can see it in some of the detailed close ups. I understand that obtaining a fair market value is difficult. Any input is welcome.
  5. Hi friends, I'm new to the mg 34 and 42 market, but not new to NFA. I love my thompson's and Macs. I'm transitioning out of the navy (USNA class of '13) and I want to buy myself a retirement present. I know they are expensive and don't come up for sale often. Please keep my in mind, I would really appreciate it! Very Respectfully, Beau PS my besf friend is Steve (sandman1957 on the thompson boards)
  6. Hi All, I've decided to dig out the 08/15. I know. This is a MG34 forum. Quick question. What would be a good belt filler (good being available, reasonable priced) to use with the MG34 belts? For casual shooting of Also, since I've not worked with these belts before, is the MG42 belt the same as the MG34 belt. They are often advertised as such. Is IMA as good a place as any to get the belts? Thanks. Sincerely, Grasshopper
