michaelkih
I have a Colt Browning Machine Rifle that was converted in an arsenal and restamped into an A2. It is a beautiful example of an A2, and I do not want to change it ever, but I have been wondering a... Is there anyway to know when the receiver was made exactly, and what model it started life as? The serial number is 19732. Thanks for the help.
darrylta
I own a Colt BMR, #19499. It has Brit proofs on it. It was repatriated in the 60's.Good luck on your FOIA journey.By the way, you do a great job on your You Tube vids.Darryl Edited September 8, 2016 by darrylta
michaelkih
Thank you. VERY nice looking BAR you have there. Is it still blued, or was it parked at some point?
darrylta
Our guns are only 233 numbers apart, most likely made in the same week.I'd expect your gun started out looking like my original WWI era gun.It still has the original bluing, with no signs of a rebuild.Have you done a FOIA on your gun? Might as well start the process.Does your BMR have British stampings on it?Darryl Edited September 6, 2016 by darrylta
