john
Have a C&R MkII and JUST picked up a suppressed barrel cover (The leather sleeve with grommets that laces onto the suppressed barrel...) I believe these also used Bronze bolts for a quieter action?? Anyway, I'm in Minnesota and wouldn't be allowed a suppressor even if I could find an original or a repro. HOWEVER, I believe someone was making reproductions (Dater??) and I'm wondering if a dummy setup would be available, just for looks? Anyone have ideas on this and where would I find prints to create my own dummy can? john
froster
I think those Stens just used a light steel bolt that had much of the middle turned away, so they would cycle with the heavily ported barrel. For the can you could just add some bushings to a barrel jacket and find out the diameter of the original tube and install a replica tube.
john
Peter Laidler referred me to a section in his book (that I just received from Collector Grade Publications) with enough information for me to make one of my own...only sticker might be finding a barrel blank the right size to start with..... john
froster
If you can't get a 1.1" od barrel blank then you could make a stepped slip-on or threaded collar for a smaller one. What is the original suppressor body od? 2"?
