New Crosby Drum Test

Recommended Posts

Just got back from the range. Here are my results.

Test gun: 1928 WH tuned by PK

Ammo: Remington 230 fmj, magtech 230fmj, WWII US surplus{russian repack}

Loaded drum and wound to nine clicks. Began firing in semi mode. Fired 5 rounds, no problems. Switched to full auto and fired several short burst of 5, 10, 20 rounds. No problems. Reloaded drum and fired several 50 round dumps. No problems. Turned gun 90 degrees to the right and fired a long busrts. Then turned gun upside down and fired another long burst.

Total rounds fired:300

Stoppages or failures: ZERO!!!!!

In my opinion we have a winner here. I tried everything I could think of to make it fail i.e. extra clicks, too few clicks 8, short burst, long burst, dumps, partial loading of drum. It sailed through anything I threw at it. If you need a drum you better get them while you still can. When the word gets out they won't last long!! I am very pleased. It fits and works much better than my WH drum did before I had to send it to Merle. This drum was done right IMHO.
