dalbert
All, This is another slightly off topic post for this M1 Carbine forum, but I'm posting it here as the best fit. (There are plenty of Garand forums, so I don't want to start another one, and I want this filmstrip hosted here at Machinegunboards.com) You may have seen the previous WWII U.S.M.C. filmstrips that I posted for the Reising SMG, the M1 Carbine, and the M1 Garand. At the link below, you can download a copy of another WWII U.S.M.C. filmstrip that has not been seen in many years. This filmstrip is designated, "TFS-45, Replacing the Firing Pin, U.S. Rifle, Cal. .30, M1." Here is the link: http://www.sturmgewehr.com/dalbert/MGBoard...20Filmstrip.pdf Enjoy! mnshooter
Thanks for the effort you put into these posts. Great to have this history available to the board. The thinking of that era was that the individual could actually be expected to fix something if needed. Self sufficiency. Couldn't happen today.
