Erika
I found a bullet in France, in Cap Blanc Nez, and it had an inscription on it : PK|67|N|33 It was on the bottom, in a circle. Now I'm trying to find out from what gun it is, when it was made and how valuable it is. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif If anyone can help me, PLEASE let me know!! Tanx! Walter63a
Erika, do you know what caliber it is, and its condition (is it badly pitted, shiny, steel, brass)? My guess is that it might be German and the 33 final number may indicate the year of production. However, probably most of the members who would be more knowledgable on this are out at their respective ranges right now. You might be better off checking back in a few hours. Good luck, Walter http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif P.S. Can you post some pics?
Jay Baker
Erika, The code 67 was used on 7.92x57 MM ammunition, made at H. Utendorffer in Nurnberg. As Walter pointed out, the 33 should indicate the year of production. If this turns out to be correct, this round was used by the Germans in their K98's, G43's, MG34's and 42's, FG42's and everything else they produced for rifle ammunition. If you can post a picture or take measurements, identification would be more certain. A single round wouldn't carry a lot of value but its a neat relic to find after all this time. My best guess. Erika
Well, it's not really a bullet, it's more a shell (sorry, don't know how you say it in English, I'm Dutch u c!) It's about 5 cm high, and it's all green and blue, that means it's gotta be very old.
Jay Baker
If you measure it, it should come out to 5.7 cm, if its what I think it is. Otherwise, I haven't clue.
