dalbert
I'd like to turn this thread into a photo stream of members shooting their M1 and/or M2 Carbines. I'd also like to use it as an opportunity to introduce members to, or remind members about the Carbine Club forum, on another website. If you haven't yet registered there, please consider doing so. I'd like to see more participation in the CC forum, which began at the end of 2015, right after the final Carbine Club newsletter was published. Here is a link a photo thread there. http://www.uscarbinecal30.com/forum/topic2585_post16813.html#16813 The Carbine Club forum currently has 875 members. Many members here have joined, and I'd like to see more. Maybe with this post, we can add some more members, and participation in that forum. Here's a photo of me shooting my M1 Carbine. It's a Winchester that I bought at age 18 in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is the first firearm I ever purchased. Perhaps we can turn this into an endless photo thread of members shooting their Carbines? NFA amnesty
First time out with my National Postal Meter. Ran great with 15 round mags with zero malfunctions on full auto. Had one hiccup with my 30 round AYP Mag but what a great time. All we needed was a North Korean Bugle charge! NFA amnesty
Nice backstop! DavidThanks David. Really appreciate you starting this thread. I was a bit surprised my carbine ran so well. I have a registered trip lever and built my own "kit" (lower group) and I am not the most mechanical guy. On my next outing, will try out my 4 30 rounders and see if they can run well. I love M2 carbines and it served my Dad well from 1950 to 52 in Korea (U.S.Army). If it was not for his M2 I would most likely not have been born!!! Edited August 30, 2018 by NFA amnesty

dalbert
I found some old images while going through memory boxes over the last couple of weeks, which included a slide of me shooting my Winchester M1 Carbine soon after I bought it in Hawaii in 1984. Our house in Kaneohe bordered 450 acres of conservation land, and my Dad built a treehouse platform there where we could shoot from time to time. I thought I'd post this photo of 18 year old me shooting the first firearm I ever purchased. Of course, I still have it today. I know...no eye protection, and I don't think I had in earplugs, either... David Albertdalbert@sturmgewehr.com
