Hossbreed45
Just some general info that some may find useful: My son received today his SBR Form 1 Tax Stamp via US Mail. It took 263 days (paper filing) from the ATF Acceptance Date to Stamp in hand. It was actually approved and signed on July 12th and took 11 days to get here. He's a Happy Camper!!! I, as of today, am in 176 days on my paper filing SBR Form 1 . Guess I still got awhile to wait..... Edited July 24, 2019 by Hossbreed45
b_san
Why are you paper filing Form 1s? Current e-filed From 1s are taking sub 30 days.
Hossbreed45
Why are you paper filing Form 1s? Current e-filed From 1s are taking sub 30 days. Because we didn't know about e-filing at the time. Thanks for your input.

Still haven't gotten that magical "status changed to approved" email. I'm not expecting them to come back till Thanksgiving time at the earliest. But I won't complain if they surprise me. Fastest recent paper form 1 I've seen is one fellow who mailed his off 3/14/19 and got back the stamp in 3 months. Thats just crazy. Given that the ATF likes to drag their feet for my forms, I'm more inclined to just paper file so I get back a real stamp. Not a pdf of a stamp. For people sitting at less than 6 months, it should be faster now to cancel your paper form and resubmit via eFile. b_san
BTW.... I am also in 226 days as of today for my Form 4 Suppressor Tax Stamp. Yeah.... Paper Filed...… Unfortunately there isn't a Form 4 available in the ATF eForms... yet. Average seems to be about 11-12 months at this time for Form 4 transfers unless you get lucky with a batch approval.
