stingray656667
I've come across a really nice M1 Carbine made by Plainfield Machine in Dunellen NJ with a weaver scope mount attached. My issue is with regard to the scope mount. The receiver has been drilled and tapped to accept the mount but, when looking from above down at the top of the scope, it is obvious that the scope is sitting at least an eighth of an inch but possibly more to the left of the barrel center. Is this normal when a scope is mounted on an M1 or is the mount used not correct for this application? Thank you.
jim c 351
Yes, that's normal with side mounts and its probably more than 1/8 " inch.Jim C
