Broadarrowmaint
Ive been trying to make my 1927 semi Thompson take on the appearance of a wart Thompson and Ive already got the milled ejector installed and my next project was the early mag release without the tooling hole common on 1928a1s and the current production semis. My solution was dropping a bead of solder in the tooling hole and sanding it down and trying to match the knurling. I think it turned out alright! Up close you can definitely tell but from a far its not bad in my opinion. Basically I was bored at work and this is what I came up with. I will post a picture of my Thompson when Im done installing everything.
Merry Ploughboy
Looks okay to me. I hope it holds up, but worst case is your having to redo it.
Broadarrowmaint
Here it is so far. Still a WIP. Its an aluminum reciever that I blasted to get rid of that god awful anodized finish in my opinion and refinished to look like du lite kind of. Anyways I really like how its turned out so far. Let me know what you guys think!
Broadarrowmaint
I still plan on replacing the incorrect Lyman sight with an original, and modifying a 1928 trigger frame with the bolt hold open for a drum. It shoots like a top too which is great.
