chewy56
Hi folks, I am a collector of Detonic's having now procured about 25 of them. All from Mark 1's to mark VII's and a couple of Service Masters. Pocket 9's included. But I have never come across this type of Detonics. It is a upper slide marked Detonics and the lower is an AMT receiver SN A01xxxx. So my research has not been very fruitful so I need to rely on you experts to help me ID this as either a true Detonics or a rebuild. Zenithnadir
IMHO a rebuild. Nicely put together but not original.
dalbert
I agree that it's a rebuild. David Albertdalbert@sturmgewehr.com
chewy56
Thanks guys. I am beginning to form the same opinion as my research has not proven any other conclusion. Although I do believe the original Detonics company/engineers did contract to AMT for some lowers they were not label as such. I will need to check the serial number under the slide to see what it says. If there is a serial number than it will leave only one conclusion and that is a rebuild. Since none of the companies Detonics bought parts from or contracted with for parts is still in business today or for that matter kept very good records (cause it was not really required back then) my research has hit a dead end. chewy56
By the way, have just procured 4 more with the lowest serial number being 2295 or (295) since the 1st production models had 2000 added to the serial number thus 2295. At least my research indicates that. So almost to 30 CM's and 4 pocket 9's.
