I was steered here by a buddy, having just added the 5th piece to my 5 gun wish list ....

that being a West Hurley Thompson.

I have acquired # 301 (1977) 1927 A5 ....Came with XL Drum , if there was a stick magazine the PO probably kept it for his other 1927 A1.

I can't complain as the price for the A5 was a DEAL worked out by my LGS friend :)

I need to find some stick magazines ( may have line on two a 20 & a 30 rounder from the buddy that sent me here. )

Meanwhile I have 3rd hand tool in route.

I do have one issue, the rear sight rivets are slightly loose, I'd like to have someone handle that ( re-set with new rivets ? )

20rd/30rd magazines I don't think you'll have a problem to find. They popup all the time.

My WH rear sight is loose too. I heard if you don't get the right person to do it, it will just get loose again. I've seen some WH rivets were changed out for screws.

The Thompson is a new adventure ,,.

I have Pistols, Revolvers , Levers and Milsurp Bolt actions, the Thompson is one I wanted since I was knee high...

Just the conditions to acquire never presented ( money VS one available at the same time ) , till the other day .

I'd like to find someone here in central Florida to do the sight work.... barring that a source for the screws and a video tutorial

on the job.

If your going to get it fix with rivets.. then my understanding you'll need someone who has the knowledge and right tools.

Doesn't seem hard, but I've heard people getting it riveted only to come loose later on.

If you do a local person, be sure to look inside your receiver to make sure the rivet isn't sticking low or you'll bolt will hit it. Should be flush.
