1:3 Thompson 1928 in Miniature

Recommended Posts

Very cool! Do you know if they ever made any live fire models? Todd in Oregon

Yes, the Russians made miniature cartridges for several of their models including the Thompson. In the USA , Edmond Garrigue made a version of his 1:2 Thompson that fired a modified 25acp cartridge. Only a few made it into the registry.

Yes, check this out (I think it has been talked about here before):

There are a few videos by Larry Vickers on the live ones.

Miniatures are just so cool!

When were these sold? What was the selling price

and what is the estimated current value?

Bob

Miniart miniatures were made in Russia in the 80's-90's. The Imperial Russian Armory in Texas imported their models to the USA. The old IRA catalogs feature Miniart, Uberti, Barrett, Kucer and other miniatures for sale. Both Miniart and IRA closed their doors long ago. For pricing check here.http://www.waynedriskillminiatures.com/
