Grasshopper
Hi All, As usual collectors collect. In this case spares. I've an early Inglis MkI Bren. Can I use the complete lower assembly from a Bren L4 on the MkI? Thanks, Grasshopper
Grasshopper
Hi All, I think I answered my own question. The L4's appear to have been "updated" MKIII. Should be good to go. Grasshopper
m3bobby
All Bren lowers will fit all Brens, that was the idea. The Mk3/L4 lowers are different to the Mk1 (theres at least 2 versions and another modified version) but they all fit. A true L4 version will have the body number electro pencilled on the left side and the original LB number barred out at the back. A new lower for the L4 will have no LB number (or UE number later on) on the rear but these can be ground off. But, you know if its been ground off as that also removes the inspector markings etc.
maxfaxdude
Good to know. I just assumed they were incompatible.
