Hm....
Interesting bill. I will read the details on www.congress.gov and get back to you. I like the part about proscribing lawsuits involving criminals who try to sue after being shot during the commission of a felony.
("A lawyer can steal more money than 100 guys with guns." Don Corleone) I either get robbed in my home, or I get robbed in court- F*CK THAT! If I'm gonna shoot, I'm not aiming to leave a lawsuit waiting to happen in the hopsital.
My grandfather's favorite saying is (WWII combat vet) "shoot, shovel, and shut up!"

A couple of things come to mind. First, why must we pass a law and codify something that is already written in the most awesome document in the world?
Second, if this bill were going anywhere, why restrict it to defensive use only? Why not go all the way and state in it the right to target shoot, hunt, competition shoot, collect, trade, sell, manufacture, etc?

I like it.
Would also love to see a law that permits Americans to carry in all 50 states.

Bruce V 21/28, it sounds great to me.
It would be good because it would counter the growing notion in this nation that guns are for collections, recreation and hunting only!
This false idea of what the Second Amendment ensures is currently being foisted on a largely unsuspecting public by liberals like Senators Clinton, Feinstein, Boxer, Schumer, Kennedy and Kerry. The liberals don't want you to be able to defend yourself against violent criminals and tyrannical governments!! This law would go a long way toward making it more difficult for criminals and their lawyers, etc. to bring lawsuits against law-abiding gun owners who opt to defend themselves. Also, it would make the survivors of a violent attack (who chose to defend themselves with firearms) better able to defend themselves against their DA's, who so often seem to wish dearly to then throw such people in jail.
This would be good medicine for the United States of America.
Best Regards, Walter
