  1. I'm sorry I know this has been beat to death but.... On Mr Richardsons blog it says he has caught up with orders and now has an inventory on some of his receviers?! Does anyone know this to be true? I would be happy if I knew the wait time to be within a year......Thanks for any replies.
  2. I have 3 original m14 bipeds, they were in the arms room and going to be thrown out, correct stamps included...... I have put one on my rifle and its not ideal unless your going full auto and man those suckers are heavy.
  3. Even 80% Thompson receivers are skyrocketing in demand?!
  4. I saved 3 usgi m14 bipods from the trash about a year back, we were cleaning the arms room and somehow they were in there, i dont want to put one on my m1A i think it will scratch it pretty good>>> i was suprised to see how much they are worth.
  5. Pearl made thompson receviers out of Grants, NM and put them on parts kits to make completed weapons. I was at my dealers place talking to him a few years back and for some reason it came up "yeah Pearl lives right down the street there" he said. I have never held a Pearl thompson but when ever I see one for sale its going for about 12K. They look good,,,,,,,,,, LOOK good I say again.
  6. Ron, im a SSG that is in charge on a squad of soldiers in Iraq, and you my friend terrify me!..............anyway I have been looking around for a TSMG for awhile but the ones I want are all in this price range. If they are cheaper then they are not in the shape I want or its a WH gun. I want a WW2 gun, whatever happens they CANT make another WW2 era thompson.
  7. Im close to buying this, Does anyone have any input? http://www.nfafirearms.com/machinegunPage.php?6/
  8. Im currently deployed with the 1AD artillery out of baumholder, but I was also with the big red one in bamberg 1999-2002 time frame.......I wish I was in victory that place is a vacation.
  9. If your going the trust route I would pay the money for a attorney, doing it yourself leaves too much room for mistakes and could cost you your NFA weapon. This trust thing is getting pretty big and a few lawyers are now claiming "NFA trusts" as a specialty.........Go to a search engine and type in "NFA TRUST" the lawyers pages will pop and they outline the good and bad of them (in my opinion there is no bad).
  10. Thanks but im already working with a firm in florida (Apple law firm). even if i could get the CLEO to sign this is the way to go, Im active duty and my father is holding all of my weapons in the his safe, if the weapons were registered to me and not the trust it would almost be impossible for me to own NFA firearms.
  11. Alright, Im in touch with a attorney now. Once I get the trust in order I have my eye on a m1a1 us property marked thompson for 17K......I thought about the WH but........nah!
  12. When I make this Trust with me as the grantor/trustee if I also add my father as a trustee can he take the weapon to the range by himself?
  13. Hey Hando! Im just south of Baghdad FOB Mahmudiyah....I will try again with your advice in hand and hope for the best. if this works im buying a thompson m1a1.
