  1. JUST CURIOUS From those pictures how would one rate the finish on the receiver for example?
  2. Morris may want to raise his asking price compared to this. Yes folks $96k. Hmm did not the fabled Midas TMSG ask for something like that? Thompson Sub Macine Gun 1921 Colt Model 1921 A. Unbelievable! Serial No. 6008. Original blue, untouched up, 50 and 100 round drums, FBI case and all accessories. $ 96,000. This is an original museum piece. http://www.prestigearms.com/

  4. OK who has sent in their registration and reserved a room at the C Inn? FBI Academy and NRA tours sounds awesome.
  5. Mike The world needs more grandpa's like you. My total anti-gun sister has recently warmed enough to let the nephew now go paintball shooting and also get an airsoft gun. (neither of these are my passion) I like to think I had a slight influence since I was asked to bring him paintball shooting. Little steps one by one. I am not going to introduce a Colt Thompson, YET! Maybe one day when the time is right.
  6. Chris I got a good laugh when Arthur said he owns a WH as well!
  7. Subject: Board member Sig getting early weapons indoctrination Weapon: Toy tommy gun Circa: December 1964 (Christmas) Location: Secret New Jersey training camp And I wonder how I have the urge to buy Thompsons!
  8. PK can take a smooth one and knurl it. He posts here so you should be able to find his contact information easily.
  9. thanks trying to keep in tune with the market Michael
  10. Murray What edition on the manual? 1st, 2nd or? Could you share what you paid? thanks michael
  11. Would loved to have seen this Jim Streeter walking around with a C drum attached at KCR!
  12. The drum book from Doug is also excellent. Can't speak to his other books but I do have both the drum and mag books. Enjoyed them both.
  13. Appreciate the input. Would loved to have seen the $5,500 and $3,800 L drums along with the $30K reblued TMSG's. And a C drum went for $5,600. My interest is as much to gauge the market as it is to see and actually when I am lucky enough buy Colt TMSG accessories if I believe it is reasonably priced to the market. Would even consider another Colt TMSG but not as likely unless the deal was right. thanks
  14. If one had Doug Richardon's book on this subject you could learn a bunch more than I can share here. It is my understanding from this book of his that the Colt mags have a gap mearsured from the edge of the mag to the holes on the side of 0.35" and the military are 0.20". I highly recommend anyone collecting Thomspon mags should own his book on the subject.
  15. Well there seemed to be a pretty good debate going about two Thompsons for sale at what I guess to have been the SAR show in Phoenix. Anyone else lucky enough to attend and take note of other Thompson(s) and/or accessories that they are willing to share with the rest of us not blessed to travel this time? Items for sale? Prices of same?
  16. Where exactly is this ad for the TMSG(s)? SGN? If in SGN does anyone have a scanner for those unable to acquire a SGN copy. thanks
  17. I bought the book somewhere between 1982 and 1984 that is all I remember. The list came with it.
  18. Just curious trying to do a bit of research on prices and seeing what serial numbers might show up. thanks Sig http://home.cogeco.ca/~msigillito/leo.jpg
  19. In your case you may want to try NRA. In my case I collect more than shoot. I have in writing 3 X per year shooting is OK, I wish I shot that often!
  20. Two possible companies that I know of. First is Collectibles Insurance Agency (CIA) that I use. Brochure says and this is a fact just to list make, model and description. Brochure also says which I can not vouch for that the list is not disclosed to anyone and is not entered in a computer. This is a good value compared to NRA endorsed below. CIA NRA endorsed insurance
  21. OK here is my contribution to this topic. I received this price list along with a new copy of the Roger Cox book. Now if I could only remember when. I am guessing 1982 to 1984 as I think the book was published around 1982. http://home.cogeco.ca/~msigillito/leo.jpg
  22. Nick I guess you have way TOO much time on your hands! that's good. Michael aka Sig
