  1. Maddog-Go to PK-(from the boards here). He just removed a barrel from a receiver stub for me. He was fast, charged a very reasonable amount, and even sent the parts back first-them sent the bill! He gets my highest recommendation. Chopperjimmy
  2. I need one if anyone who gets some wants to part with one! Chopperjimmy
  3. Sir-Perhaps with the magazine being empty-That you might have dropped the bolt on the empty magazine, thus making the bolt place pressure on the "hold open" feature of the magazine? If so, lock the action back and drop the magazine out. Of course the magazine release must be pushed for the magazine to unlock from its cache. If this is not it-You've been Kahr'd Jimmy
  4. I have a 1928 finned barrel with receiver stub attached. What is the best way to remove the barrel without scratching it all up? The receiver stub will be tossed after the barrel is removed. Thanks, Chopperjimmy
  5. Thanks for the referral of the book Chitowngangster, I will be picking up a copy. Chopperjimmy
  6. Dear fellow Thompson enthusiasts and Americans: I am an honerable Police officer and a firearms collector. I am also a NRA certified Tactical rifle instructor, Urban rifle, pistol, and shotgun instructor. I am a brother, son, and a father who honors life, hard work, and ethics. I have always attempted to do the right thing in my job as a police officer within the written law and the spirit of the law. I own numerous class 3 firearms and suppressors. I am a supporter of Democracy (which means that I support the United States Constitution and my states Constiutution and gives me and everyone else in this Country the right to change things like laws if I don't like a particular law) I may not like particular laws which gives me the right to attempt to legally change them by voting in individuals that I consider to be quality and who share my perspective. Freddie, if you think that certain laws are immoral and that cops are immoral because they enforce whichever law that you consider immoral-then there are inflamatory words to describe people like you that look at life that way too. Maybe we should live in the Democracy according to Freddy and not the Democracy of "We The People." I may not like what you have to say..... May God bless America. ChopperJimmy
  7. Lets see, Option #1 Don't fire on a enemy soldier that you are not sure can kill you and all your squad partners who has been actively engaging in trying to kill you and all your squad partners by any means possible. Or Option #2 Make certain that someone can not kill you and your squad partners-that you are unsure of if they are alive or not, and cannot make certain if they are a threat to you or not.........HMMMM #1 My Country, #2 My life and the lives of those around me of whom I am to protect with my life, #3 some enemy soldier who might kill me and all my squad buddies, #4 and liberal bleeding heart leftists that are crying foul. The order of importance in the above sentence is crucial. Don't ever get #2 and #3 mixed up- May God bless America This is not about dying for your Country, it is about getting someone else to die for theirs. My opinion-
  8. I must refrain from commenting on DDAYJune6 post. As it is not appropriate for me to negatively comment another members point of view. I watched Saving Private Ryan last night and I just want to say that I honor the men and women who gave their all in defending America and Liberty. Nice shots of the Thompson. I also want to mention that I appreciate and value the sacrafices of our veterans even if I disagreed (and I didn't) with the reasons or ideologies behind the reasons for the conflict. America honors all peoples-we are a nation built of Italians, African Americans, Spaniards, Polish, Czecks, Russians, Mexicans, Swedes, French, Europeans, Native Americans, Australlians, Germans, Chinese, Japanese, Indians, and Middle-Easterners. We are the Heinz-57 of the world. Again, buy any type of stamp you want to. May god bless America. Thank you to all veterans.
  9. Nick-Thank you for the excellent boards-Let us know when your book is comming out! Donation made from beautiful Golden Colorado. ChopperJimmy 1928 A1 Savage
  10. Racial profiling? I suppose that if I commit the crime of savagely blowing people to pieces, their children to pieces, their loved ones away with a cowards device-a bomb- And I happen to be a white male. And I (as a white male) do this with enough repetition and some of my white male friends do this as well...... Then you gosh darn better look at the possiblity that somewhere some white males are planning, plotting, and putting more cowards devices in place to kill more innocent people. White males should not be treated any differently than anyone else-However, to ignore the facts that white males have been active in this cowardly activity is akin to the ostrich putting it's head in the sand. Maybe we should then make a stamp supporting the white male. If you want to buy any sort of stamp-DO SO..It's a free country (thank you God) Just do not call choosing not to buy a white male stamp racial profiling. Go out and buy a whole bunch of stamps glorifying the accomplishments of the white male. WOW My $.02 worth. I may not agree with what you are saying...But I will defend to the death your right to say it.
