  1. A 20% buyer’s premium will be added to all successful bids and is payable by the purchaser as part of the total purchase cost. A 3% fee is applied to payments made by credit card(from Morphy FAQ) I dont know where Chappy got 25% If you by check the premium is 20% with a card another 3% if you bid thru proxibid another fee i pay by check. As far as sales tax if the item is bought by an SOT there is no tax If an individual buys it , i would think thhere is tax

  10. that part i figured out (how to get the mag catch out got everything out and just placed the spring onto the catch and slid it in I need to get the spring to catch into the smaller hole the spring that came out looks like my new spare spring so it wiggled out of the hole will tackle it tomorrow !! Thanks Tennessee!!
  11. i have a new spring and got the mag catch out but when i put it back in it flopped around I guess there is a trick to getting the spring under tension as it goes back in i will keep monkeying around
  12. My Thompson M1a1 appears to be missing the Mag Catch Spring since it flops around SO, Two questions : It was there to begin with. How did it come out? Next when i try to replace it, Does the pivot plate and the the other parts come out in order to get the mag catch out? Thanks Haris
  13. Hello All: I ended up with this 30 round magazine. My question is : Is this a unopened magazine the way they were in Military Service or is it just a magazine that someone wrapped with Kraft Paper? Thanks for any input. Its a Thompson Mag Because of its length and I can feel thru the paper the Rib in the Back
  14. What Hairbrained Huggy Doesnt understand is that NFA Branch doesnt issue 07/SOT's so you can buy cheap post 86's or drop in 200 dollar sears for your own recreational use he gives 07s a bad name
  15. Seriously? And you're now an SOT? No, that's not how it works. I got the same email today. I'll be filing some more stuff in January so by then the bugs might be worked out? There's also a gun jesus video out saying the NFATCA helped beta test it? There Huggy is in there again showing his ignorance and confusing those that are not informed. How the heck did ATF ever give this guy an 07 and a SOT?
  16. Its horrible to be preyed on by scammers. So I want to share with you steps that I take and other friends do to avoid being "taken" And you members- Please feel free to add into this thread anything that you can add. 1. Ask the seller of the gun to take a picture that he wouldnt have unless he had the gun. Like a picture with the slide off looking down into the magwell. Or the gun on a flat surface with three rounds standing up next to the gun and 3 rounds laying down. 2. Picture of the gun next to todays newspaper and his drivers license. And you only send the money order to the address on the Driv license. 3. Tell the seller that a FFL has to ship it and you will send the money to the FFl and the seller can go there drop off the gun and collect his money order. I add the $25 transfer fee to the deal. A FFL dealer wont be a party to a scam 4. NO venmo, paypal(which can get you kicked off paypal by the way, no zelle. 5. Always talk to the seller. A giveaway is the thick foreign accent from a guy who knows nothing about guns!! These sellers will say they cant talk on the phone that they are with their daughter in the hospital(all BS) 5a When you talk to the seller, ask him questions about the gun that the only way he could answer is if he had the gun. When you talk to someone getting a gun, you can get a feeling really quickly if he is gun familiar or not. 6. Ask them a nonsensical question that will trap them . Like" Does you revolver come with the ";latest self lubricating system!!" 7. I have seen on armslist Phony drivers license or licenses that are not theirs. Take the sellers name from the drivers license and go to facebook with the same name. I have so far discovered 5 people in states other than the seller with the same license who was running a scam. 8.Things to runaway from: 8a Seller says send 1/2 the money now and .he will send gun. then when you are happy with your new purchase, you send the other half 8b. seller offers to ship the firearm to you directly(a felony) unless you are in the same state. 8c Gun is being sold at 1/2 of retail 9. Look at the posts or feedback of the seller. Dont buy from NR sellers without speaking to them first 20 . Lastly , I am not up on mail fraud but if you use USPS MO's and Priority mail with signature, you can allege mail fraud if scammed. That is something worth checking because I dont know how much mail fraud protects you . I am not bragging but I have never been scammed and I looked at my purchases on Gunbroker and it shundreds of buys since 2000. I have also bought a lot on here and the item was always shipped. Now I have had guns that were not as represented and that always can happen. But never had a seller keep the money and not send the item Any suggestions or Comments are appreciated
