  1. Yes, the buttstock is still very rock solid, but its not perfect, it has some cracks here and there. . . its also numbered 11733, i probably guess the gun would match the buttstock number? if yes, can anyone recover the story of 1921 TSMG s 11733, just to understand why the buttstock was separated from the gun. Many thanks. the main difference on the buttplate i notice between this and 1928a1's its in the cheek rest area, the shape is more flat compared to the 1928a1's. And those are also sligtly smaller, well built, and fit much tighter! http://i67.tinypic.com/o9jtog.jpg
  2. It is very very faint, but its there!! http://i64.tinypic.com/2w4lets.jpg
  3. Hello Gijive and thanks for your response too, well I have not seen many Colt buttstocks, but based on the no sling swivel slot, the (amazing) carbonia blued steel parts, I have reason to think this is an original buttstock! http://i64.tinypic.com/2emoizl.jpg http://i63.tinypic.com/2d91mo4.jpg http://i66.tinypic.com/m32hy.jpg
  4. Well, the oiler is certainly bright because of the nickel, but it is not a "mirror finish", much more as you pointed out, a dull, satinated surface. I also want to point out that this oiler came togheter with an original Colt 1921 buttstock
  5. Hello everyone, Im relatively new to the forum, I would like to start with posting an enquiry, I have just bought this oiler, but surfing the web I found out it is very easy to fall in repro traps, is this nickel oiler original or not?
  6. Yes maybe you are right, i took one and have to say that these are incredibly sturdy, wood is rock solid.
  7. Some peoples are just so arrogant, how can you be so superb to dont even accepting to listen other people advices or suggestions.. well, could be a great deal if someone is looking a cheaper option than IMA ones (currently 250$) but i never seen one like this, with such weird corners. oh and for sure his reserve price must be quite above 250..
