  1. What would be the safer way to do it? I've read about it before, but got a little lost. Is it a 1928 actuator and bolt (which also slows it down to 600 rpm, right?) I remember talking to Mr Richarson about getting this set up years ago, but that's when he was halfway between CR and CA. I managed to get a manual, but lost contact with him on the rest of the plan as his health declined. Any guidance on where and what replacement / backup parts to acquire would be appreciated. It's a 21AC and I'm the second owner. Thanks for the help!
  2. My 21AC's bday is coming up and I've decided I'm going to have a party and shoot it for the first time. The entity that owned it before me shot it annually, but it been at least eight years since it's seen any action. Checklist of things to check or lube before I give it a run? I have some 230 gr WWB and was going to fire 1-2 XX mags through it. Thanks!
  3. Yep.....early '81 #000697. Had it 20 yrs next month, but haven't driven it in 7-8 yrs. Too many kids, too many jobs. Luckily it sits less than 10ft from my desk at work up on a lift in the warehouse. So at least I get to see it every day. Will get it going again one of these days. Have fun! Be careful on the highway, as I've almost been run off the road three times by people hanging out of their windows trying to take pics of the car.
  4. If you click on the drum auction, you will see it's wiped from eBay's history: https://www.ebay.com/itm/113739278972?ul_noapp=true This means it was administratively cancelled......most likely because it violated the TOS (no high cap mags.) Any bids were cancelled, and any fees are refunded. They want to wash their hands of it as fast as possible. Doesn't matter how many bids there were, who was high bidder, or even if it had already ended, they wipe it out and return all the funds and fees. On the stick mag auction, it's archived, so it ended legitimately: https://www.ebay.com/itm/ww2-USMC-Marine-Corp-Thompson-MG-Pouches-Magazines-Mint-Dated-1944-/202669887823?_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l10137&nordt=true&rt=nc&orig_cvip=true Look at the header, "bidding has ended". That means time ran out or the seller ended it early. Seller then relisted the auction with BuyItNow (could have just edited the auction, but it's not like there are any relisting fees in that category.) Seller's can cancel bids if they don't trust the buyer, or just cancel them all and end the auction early (just select "item no longer available".) This one violates the TOS as well, it just hasn't been flagged yet.
  5. The way to prevent this is to submit a bid, no matter how low. The auction generally cannot be pulled by the seller once a bid has been tendered. You're not supposed to, but you can on Ebay. Just select 'item no longer available' and you can take the auction down.....doesn't matter if there are any bids, they will all be cancelled. On the auction page it will say, "seller ended auction early because...." or something like that across the top header. But that's not what happened here.....it was administratively cancelled, that's why you cannot even see if what is was. Ebay axed the auction because you're not allowed to sell magazines on their site. There have people that have snuck prohibited items through on BuyItNow only to have the auction cancelled and funds REVERSED after the auction. It's a violation on Ebay and PayPal TOS to use their services for certain "gun related items" (including magazines). So once they see the auction or sale, they cancel everything to wash their hands of it. You can get royally screwed as a seller if you already mailed the item and the buyer ghosts you.
  6. "niceparts" https://m.ebay.com/sch/i.html?isRefine=true&sid=niceparts
  7. There wasn't one. They announced in June 2014 they were going to auction them off......but then Ferguson happened and the PR of them selling machine guns to the public was going to be nasty. Then they started trying to work a deal with Sig, but the police union blocked it because they wanted Glocks. Finally, this time last year, they worked a deal through private distributors to buy all the Beretta pistols and another to buy the Thompsons and a few old M16s they had. The Thompsons were delivered to the dealer in Cincinnati in mid-August and that's when bn I saw them. By now, most of the F4 stamps should be approved or pretty close to getting approved.
  8. That is my understanding, all sold. Yes, within a week of getting delivered to the dealer. Most of the ACs sold for 35. The 27s and real early 21's sold for more; couple of the bulged barrels sold for less. Got to see them all in the same safe at once.....wow.
