  1. Looking for an original Auto Ordnance .22 caliber magazine adaptor. Anyone have one to offer or know where I can find one? Thanks
  2. With Dave's permission, I am offering these two 21 Colt's Thompson's to the board at a substantial discount off the owner's original asking price. These two weapons are not my property but that of a good customer who is getting up in age. However, they both are physically in my inventory, under my control and will E-form quickly. Both are pretty clean very early weapons with a good history. #179, 1921AC, Sold. My inventory #230819-1, Pennsylvania State Police, Harrisburg, PA. 10-24-1921 #575, 1921A, Sold. My inventory #229804-2, Boston Massachusetts Police Department, 5-26-2921 If you are interested, email me at firearm@verizon.net and will send you more info and a lot more detailed pics. You can also search this board with the serial numbers for more info, pics, and some RKI input. Call if you like, (817) 481-6616 Nick
  3. FYI. I pulled the buffer apart and it looks like the original fiber discs are still inside the buffer housing.
  4. Do you think the buffer assembly is original? If so, why would someone blue it?
  5. Got a few minutes last night to shoot up some more detailed pics. I suspect the recoil spring is not original. Also, note that the buffer assembly appears to have been blued at some point. I compared it to other early buffer assemblies, and I couldn't detect any differences. Curious as to what you guys think.
  6. What is a fair price for a 1943 dated MG34 tripod these days? Everything seems to move and work. No carry straps, no optics, some rust, some red primer, dark green paint trashed, but I can't remember ever seeing one that was had a clean coat of original paint on it. I have scoured the net but couldn't seem to find anything for sale or that has sold in several years, unless it is overseas. Any of you RKI's have some input? Your 2 cents would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Nick
  7. It had a Remington actuator in it when I got it. Replaced it with what I had. I tried to get a look down the chamber but could not see a number. Then again, I can't see worth beans anymore. It could also use a good cleaning. When I get some time, I will give it a good scrubbing.
  8. Just got this early 21 Colt in. I let a good friend of mine talk me into selling him this weapon years ago. Always regretted selling it. I bought it from Dr. Lyle Gage (Mountaineer Ordnance Exchange) in 1994, a heart surgeon out of W. VA. He was Roger Cox's sidekick. I suspect this weapon was upgraded by Penn State PD at some time to a 21AC. Looks like it was originally destined to be shipped with #202 to the Minister of War, Bogota, Columbia, but never made it out the door. Note the wedding ring band on the Cutt's end of the barrel. Still has the Penn State PD property sticker on it. Pics for your viewing pleasure. Feel free to critique and comment. From Gordon's notes: #179 21 A Minister of War Bogota, Colombia (179 & 202) (1 of 2 Shipped 4/28/21) Note: This entry from the original ledger presents a conflict, unless the gun was never shipped, or the gun was returned for some reason. 21 A Pennsylvania State Police Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (1 of 32) (Shipped 10/24/21) 21 AC * Law Enforcement Ordnance Co. Athens, Georgia 1/22/77 $2750.00 Dr. Lyle Gage Jr. (C-3 dealer) Bluefield, West Virginia (1 of 12) Nick Tilotta (Western Firearms Co.) Grapevine, Texas 6/94 Lee Sicillio collection Texas 6/00
  9. Let's see if this is what you are looking for. I bought this 1928A1 from the Coachella Police Department, Coachella CA. back in 1996. The attached document is what they sent me to show proof of ownership, so I could type up the form 5. It is a Form 5, "Notice of Tax-Exempt Domestic Transfer of Firearm. Is difficult to read as it a copy of the original old-time fax sheet that they had in their files. Just in case you can't make out the info: CHIEF OF POLICE, CITY OF COCHELLA COACHELLA, CALIFORNIA MACHINE GUN, SUBMACHINE 467903 .45 NONE AUTO ORD CORP., Address Unknown "AOD" Oct 24, 1960 C.O. MT. RAINIER ORD DEPOT TACOMA, WASHINGTON MASEL JOHNSON Acting Chief, Special Missions Sect. Will follow this post with some pics
  10. Just got a copy of a FOIA doc. It is a Model AR15 639. Registered in March of 1974. Page Title (pullig.dyndns.org) I guess this disproves the old theory of all Colt Model 639's were serial numbered in the 4,79x,xxx range?
  11. Thank all of you for the input. Especially the link to Retro Black Rifle. I broke this M16 down to the next level and the more I look, the more I think it really is a Model 639 (or 629). Even down to the markings on the bolt carrier group and the ejection port cover. The only thing that doesn't click with me is the serial number range. My guess now is that it is a late version of the 639 (or 629) Colt M-16. The only thing that didn't match was the "C K" marking on the inside of the carry handle of the upper receiver. This weapon has no markings in that area. It is unmarked.
