  1. Much appreciated. Of course, the anti-2A push is always on my mind and what we have to do to keep them from implementing fully. But, in the foreground, I have the pistols, shotties, and AR's covered. So, now, before NFA, I'm looking at a long range sniper rifle, such as a TAC-OPS Delta-51. I need to get that done before Biden/Harris start screwing around with background checks, etc. THen I'll take on NFA. Thanks for the tip on 1921/1928. I'll be looking.
  2. What would the "appropriate" price point have been (in your opinion)?
  3. I certainly hope the era of "recreational shooting" is not over. I'm just beginning (relatively speaking). And I also have hope that my niece/nephew will join me in that effort. Yes, it's hard to justify using ammo right now, but I have to do my best to use it as sparingly as possible. That, and look for bargains in getting new supplies. It's a lot of work, but well worth it.
  4. Afternoon all. My name is Arnold (Forum ID: CTypMC10). I just joined a day or so ago. I hope to contribute much to the forum and to learn a lot from all of you. A brief history. My 2A journey began as a child of 10, when I had a summer day camp counselor who was an NRA instructor and taught us riflery (including a weekly trip to a range). We shot bolt action single shot .22LR rifles. The journey continues in college when I took a similar course as part of my University's PE progam (of all things) taught by the GySgt on call for Navy ROTC. It laid dormant for a good while until 2013, when, thanks to a good friend and fellow SCUBA diver, I was re-energized. And I have been, ever since. Today, I have a decent inventory in pistols and shot guns. I have CWFL licenses in FL and UT, and I completed Massad Ayoub's MAG-40 class. I just finished building my 1st AR-15 (mid length) and I'm acquiring the parts for a 2nd. And, with that, it's time for some long range rifles and training and then, eventually, for a couple of NFA items. For the Long range rifles I'm looking at: TAC-OPS "Bravo 51" (KATE II) chambered in .308 Lapua Barrett .50BMG (either an M82A1 or M107). When that's done I'll get on with my NFAs, and here's where I hope to learn a lot from y'all. I have an interest in: Ingram MAC-10 .45acp Thompson SMG .45acp with drum mags. Hence my forum name: CTypMC10 (Chicago Typewriter + MAC-10) I'll be catching up with threads on the Thompson shortly. 'Till then, thanks for all the knowledge I'll gain and I hope to help any of you that I can. Best Regards, Arnold (CTypMC10)
