  1. Thompson Machine made a special mount for 7/8x24. Fit was excellrnt.
  2. Got the net off of ebay and picked up a used camera tripod. Bolt the net on. Adjust the height for the shooter with the net slightly tilted back. Found with the net straight some brass would bounce back out. https://www.ebay.com/itm/111526997604
  3. Thought I would make a quick video of my M50 with Thompson Machine ISIS2 suppressor with a custom adapter they made me. Also installed a tall front Mauser sight from Brownells. The extra weight helps controlling the rifle during full auto firing. Allen IMG_0033.mov
  4. Are you using a 30 round magazine. Some 30 round magazines when fully loaded or overloaded make it difficult for the bolt to strip the first few rounds from the magazine. I cut the trigger spring down to get a better trigger pull. I do not remember how much I removed. I bought two trigger springs and would cut a coil off of the first spring and try the trigger pull. I did this until trigger no longer functioned. I cut the second trigger spring a little longer than the first one was when it stopped working. No problems in over 1K rounds. Improved trigger some.
  5. Once you shoot it, it may become a weekly habit. Luckily I can shoot mine at the house.
  6. Skoda, the sight picture is the reason I am considering a rail. The suppressor allows me to not disturb my neighbors and remove it when I go to the range. I need to find a rifle that has a 1.25 inch receiver to come up with a rail with the correct curvature on the base. Or maybe someone can come up with a simple way to identify a rail that will fit.
  7. As soon as I receive my custom 7/8x24 mount for my Thompson Machine SG-2 suppressor, I will need to do something about raising my sights or putting a picatinny rail for optics my M50. Picatinny rail is not my first choice because I will have to alter the M50 (drilling 2 screw holes) if I figure out which one would fit the contour of the receiver. But the rail seems the most practical solution. Iron sights would require raising front and back sights .35 inches to clear the suppressor. Any ideas would be helpful. So fire away.
  8. While waiting on ATF to process my paperwork, I have been reading about M1/M2s. There have been several mentions of stretched receivers after extended use. Depending on the condition of the host carbine I purchased, I may be buying another host for the trigger pack. I can not find an explanation of how to check for a stretched receiver. Can someone explain how to check and pictures of a stretched receiver would nice to see. Thanks for your help.
  9. The trigger pack is the registered part. No mention of a firearm on form 4
  10. Two local gunsmiths and I have failed at pulling the reising 50 barrel. So now the question is other than John Andrewski is there anyone who could do the work for me with quick turnaround. John is a year out.
  11. I have agreed to a deal on M2. I have never held a M2 much less worked on one. What do I need to read? What parts should I have on hand to do common repairs? Are the aftermarket M1/M2 compatible with the USGI carbines?
  12. In December Keystone said the were in the process of getting bids to make the different parts. So maybe this year or not.
