  1. Question for the experts, how can this Stemple be listed on the Form 4 as Erma. Is this just an ATF form error? "Stemple is stamped under bottom of tube,so he apparently worked on it at one time." http://www.gunbroker.com/item/683345524
  2. What are the chances Atf would look at this being more than an 80% receiver? One good weld with correct spacing and you get an all expense paid fed vacation.
  3. The last savage 1928 grip I saw was about a year and half ago out of Paris France. It was heavily used and cost $600 plus if I remember. It cleaned up really nice and is now married to a 60,000 serial number savage. They seem very happy together.
  4. I sold mine last year with allot of options for $2200. Fun concept but dirty and max of 150-200 rounds between cleaning. Don't see price dropping.
  5. Funny how the name is now freed vs. free. But the address that I am to send the money is the same address listed in the following FBI doc. http://www.fbi.gov/pittsburgh/press-releases/2014/federal-jury-convicts-north-huntingdon-man-on-all-charges-in-bankruptcy-fraud-trial
  6. The address is a $60,000 house next to a very commercial run down tire store and bowling alley.
  7. My info is: Michael Freed Huntingdon, PA 15642
  8. Below is another posting for other mg parts by Michael. I found Michael by yet another 3rd party post for ammo that seems reasonable. Spoke to Michael on the phone and he knows his mg stuff but this all has got me thinking. Deal was for down payment with final payment at Kreek. He says he is a part of the Wild Brunch, which I know goes to Kreek. Anyone a part of this group or would know? http://www.sturmgewehr.com/webBBS/parts.cgi?read=344015
  9. Last 34 I got in good shape was 3500.00. Sometimes you can find offshore but they are a pain to ship and will cost more with shipping and exchange rate.
  10. I also purchased a smg (non matching mp40) from frank years ago, which turned out to be a matching mp40. I agee the text in the add's are jr level and when last I spoke to frank he admitted to not know much beyond general knowledge. All in all he was a good guy to deal with, you just need your eyes wide open going in.
  11. No mention on gb about the hole and he is claiming 95% finish. If this is 95%, then I have some in the 150% finish area.
  12. I also have a 43 ayf mp40 that is all matching. My barrel was also pluged sometime in its history and is missing 1/8" off the front. Yes the dent is factory and your finish is in good shape. The hole would bug me, but that's just me. The pouches look to good to be true (70 years old). C&R mp40 prices seem to be running from low teens to low twentys for a story and mint gun.
  13. Have an all matching mp40 (1943 ayf) with the exception of the barrel. Looking for a new or old production unmarked barrel. Any help would be very appreciated.
  14. I have a matching c&r 1943 (except barrel) mp40 that has almost no finish left. When purchased the gun was told this was a non matching gun so I had intended to refinish it. When I received the gun I found it was all matching except a replacement barrel. So the question is should I or not? How would this effect value and/or market for this gun? If I do refinish it who is the expert on mp40's (like Pk is on . Thanks ....shawn.
