  1. As this was my first experience with a class 3 wait, I don't know anything different. I guess mine was shorter at 6 months and 5 days..
  2. Just received my tax stamp back on form 4 transfer of a Maxim. Went in march 6th 2012 and received it September 13th 2012. I noticed the FAQ in the BATFE website states the wait is about a month... I guess that was optimistic on their part.
  3. My transfer went in to the BATFE on March 5th. I figure Christmas will come in August for me. This was a purchase made at the December2011 SAR show from an out of state seller. It first went form 1 to my local FFL. The seller/dealer is a known and respected entity
  4. Yes It looks familiar. The vendor is Omega Weapons Systems.
  5. Bob makes a good point - importers are running a for profit business, but most I know are also collectors. If these old Tommys where not re-imported here they would probable be melted down for door stops. I for one am glad they came back from where ever they ended up. I understand not all tanks had Tommys the later ones had M3's. Also the pictures I have seen have these in crates and I do not think the Russians crated them. Most of the kits I have seen do not have barrels but are as Bob mentions in a like new state. One example has a clean Serial number of AO 37XXX. David
  6. Wow Great gun room and collection. Thanks Brian
  7. Just got back . If you have not seen the night time shoot it is well worth the trip. 1928 Thompson shooting green tracer rounds was quite the sight. Will try to post some video.
  8. I was asked a question about an M1/M1A1 barrel I had for sale. The question was: Is the barrel marked with an "s" to indicate Savage or more of a squared off letter ie; a "5" shaped s to indicate Stevens? I have researched via my copy of American Thunder and the internet as well as asked my gun buddy (he is also on this board) and can not find the answer to this question. Thought I would ask "the panel". Thank you David V
  9. I also bought a few of these from Art. Very Nice. Thanks Art.
  10. I would say Deerslayer 1 Zombies 0! - Thanks for the video.
  11. Here is the reply I received on the Gunbroker BAR listing. "This is a group industries gun made in the early 80s, It is a consignment gun so would be difficult too set up inspection because gun is in owners possession till sold. However there is not much to inspect, gun is new & unfired, just look at the pictures." Darel
  12. I was surprised how fast that M1 was sold. I think a quick trip may be worth the cost considering the investment. What about showing up at one of the shows like the SAR here in phoenix and picking one up?
