If a person buys a machine gun can it be sent to a class 3 dealer to be worked on while your transfer is pending? It seems to be legal from what I read on the BATFE site.

Assuming you're not just kidding here, Live guns have required transfers since 1934. Dewat transfers started Dec. 15, 1968. No, I freely admit I was under that false assumption - until I talked to TD last night. I have loved Thompsons for 40 years and I am trying to learn all I can. This forum is the best!
