  1. Dear forum colleagues, Like many here, I am a collector and enthusiast of Colt Thompson magunificas! I've been thinking for a few days now.... What should be the whereabouts of the Thompson with serial number #1986. Is it in a museum? Is it from a collector? Or was it lost? This serial number has nothing special, other than being the year of my birth. But that led me to search... It was then that I looked at the book Colt Thompson Serial Numbers, by Mr Gordun Herigstag. I was able to find out that Thompson #1986 was originally shipped to Mexico. However, after being DESTROYED, its pieces would have returned to the USA in the "World Shooters" of Phoenix, Arizona. I was extremely disappointed to hear that it had been destroyed! And at the same time I was very happy to know that its parts would be in the USA. I ask you, my forum colleagues... Do you know the whereabouts of this piece? Is the owner of this piece here on our forum? It would be really cool to be able to see some photos of these weapons. Knowing how she was destroyed... Seeing how she is today. Thank you very much for everyone's attention
  2. I have a colt thompson bolt, stripped, in excellent condition that i got from Gordon some years ago. What are these worth if i wanted to sell? hughlongii@aol.com
  3. I work for a large Sheriff's office in Florida and am tasked with trying to obtain any information of record for several sub machine guns in our inventory. One is a Colt Thompson Model 1921. The serial number is 365. On the right side of the receiver is marked Auto Ordinance Corporation, New York, USA. Any internal records reflecting purchase have long since vanished. The agency would like to set these up on display with a small information card containing any data I can find. I'm new to the forum and have my own gun smithing business with SOT. Any help would be appreciated! And for all service members on this Holiday weekend, thank you for your sacrifices and service👍
  4. A distinquished Gentleman was referred to me to assist in purchasing a Colt Thompson. He is 70, has the ability to purchase and is not interesting in waiting a long time and dealing with potential scammers. He understands the sticker shock, the NFA time out box, and is ready to join as a fellow collector. I am reviewing current listings, and have sent PMs, emails to some individuals. If anyone has a Colt Thompson they are ready to sell, or has leads on one please PM me. He is interested in a 80 percent gun or better. Preferably all original. Order of interest 1921A, 1921AC, 28 Navy Overstamp. Overall condition will likely be the distinquishing factor between the models. Photos of potential guns with descriptions would be step one, very likely him inspecting the gun step two, followed by payment likely on the spot, with NFA paperwork following. He is a VA resident, limited access to computers etc. If you know of something please let me know. Thanks in advance Sandman1957
