adlake
does the 1928a1 and the m1/m1a1 use the same pivot plate? looking to buy a spare pivotplate for the 28a1, but can only find 1 on gunbroker for an m1/m1a1 There are but the center,(rocker finger) on the M-1 plate is mounted up a little higher than the 1921-28 which is lower. The difference is installing and use. To install it you have to use a little more pressure to bend the finger down and loop under the rocker pivot. It increased the pressure which puts a bit more friction in the rocker pivot. I think it was more because of the looser fitting pin style pivots. I perfer the 1928 version. Hope this helps-adlake Edited September 23, 2010 by adlake
