WW2Collector39-45
Well after 2 long years of owning this rifle I finally sent it off to Dan Block(deerslayer) to have some modifications done to it. It started out life as a standard Kahr Arms 1927a1 and Dan turned it into a thing of beauty! I will add a video soon as I upload it to my computer from my phone. StooperZero
nice! I Sbr'd mine from one of their deluxe lightweight 1928 pistols and replaced the barrel with another finned barrel with a Cutts on it I got for $60 .I put around 75 coats of my linseed/cherry stain mix on the furniture to bring out the texture. I don't care what anyone says, I wouldnt want to be within 300yds of anyone with a thompson. Still kicking myself for never buying F/A WH thompsons when I was younger. james m
Here's a picture of my Thompson 27 SBR conversion. I bought this Auto Ordnance example years ago unmodified from a couple who were relocating to California and couldn't take it with them. The gun had been poorly stored, probably in a basement, and had surface rust. Additionally. the case was falling apart from the dampness and reeked to high heavens. I converted it myself after the paperwork was approved and restored it and the case during this process. I am still planning on changing to over to a removable butt stock at sometime in the future.Jim Edited June 9, 2013 by james m
