Grease Gunner
Guys, on this question I cannot seem to get a definitive answer. There are situations when SOT;s with post 86 samples are quitting. Can a 01FFL with SOT buy these samples with no law letter and only transfer them to government agencies or another SOT? Or does he have to be an 07/SOT to get them? I was told there is a relaxation in the regs to aid a SOT to dispose of his samples without a law letterto help him dispose of his inventory Any insight would helpI know its in 475.105 of the regs but I dont understand it Thanks Haris Edited October 18, 2016 by Haris357
Black River Militaria CII
Only the following FFL licensees can receive post samples without a letter:FFL07/SOTII; manufacturerFFL08/SOTI; importer of Title I and Title II firearms, etc.FFL11/SOTI; importer of destructive devices, ammunition, etc. SOT is the annual Special Occupational Tax paid for specific privileges and exemptions under the license.
