kp31
With David's permission:

I received this with my dewat NAC Brit marked Savage dewat that I sold for another c3 bucket list item. My understanding is that it was with the original gun going back to the 1950s at the estate. The gun and drum both had some brown patina from less than ideal storage as visible in pictures here.

The drum's mechanics seem to be very good and functional in my tests although I did not shoot this in my gun. Internals are nice original blue and retained grease inside which probably protected the mechanics. The nickel rotor has minor brown discoloration. The exterior of the drum has a few minor dings as pictured which I do not believe would affect function and could be corrected. The surface is mostly brown/grey with very light surface rust spots over maybe 5%-10% of the surfaces than may even be removed with bronze wool. These are not deep and probably would not produce visible pitting if you re-blued the drum. This is accurately pictured in the close ups. The winder has better surfaces and is as pictured.

If you need references, please let me know. I have done my best to accurately represent it with pictures in natural light but please ask questions if needed and first post or PM to me by timestamp that states you will take without condition gets the drum.

Withdrawn.

Edited October 26, 2020 by kp31

kp31
Sarcasm here or good wishes? Clear as mud. I'll just respond thanks, either way.
ppgcowboy
Ok, with it's current condition 2000 is a big stretch. Bluing it will do nothing to increase its value, if it was a serial numbered one, maybe. Just my opinion. Sorry.
