cubfanpbrman
I was looking forward to finding any back-story related to my Reising M50 (#7708), however my FOIA request was denied (6 months after the request). The reason, according to the ATF: I requested "tax return information that is not related to you." Seems an odd response, since many others have had success hunting down the past life of their machine guns, tax information be darned (usually redacted). I'm no expert on procedural requirements, and far from a lawyer, but if anyone has received this response, please let me know if it's worth an appeal. BRMCII
Were you the registrant of record at the time of submitting the letter, and including a copy of your registration? I have signature notarized to confirm my identity. You must be the registrant for an FOIA to done and sent to you. Ryo
Wow that sucks. Sounds like they didn't link you to the ownership of the Reising, whether your personally owned or under a business owned.
cubfanpbrman
It is under my business name, of which I am the President and offered paperwork of proof with the submission, so maybe their wires got crossed.
