Tex
My dealer who has been on vacation, comes back in for one day to check her mail before leaving again on another trip. Calls me up this morning with the best news I think I've ever had on a Thursday. Yep, form 4 is back and she says come and get it! I'm 140 miles from Ft Worth (her place) and I think I got there in an hour and a half! Finally, since doing the deal on 12 January, I've got my M1 Savage! It is a beauty! Got it just in time for the Leona, TX shoot this weekend. I sooooo happy! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif I'll take some good pics soon if someone would would be so kind as to post them for me. Thanks! Tex
OK, lets see if they appear... Thanks Nick. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/iannamico/mgbsite/tex/2.jpg http://mywebpages.comcast.net/iannamico/mgbsite/tex/1.jpg Thanks to Matt S. for calling me first about buying it. He told me that an old gentleman in 'Bama had it for a while. Supposedly came out of the B'ham PD but I have no documentation to support that yet. It has no PD markings. FJA, GEG, and ordnance wheel markings are present. Also MR (Mount Rainier) (sp) stamp on left of buttstock. All Savage and all M1. I am in love. Shot it again today over at my father's place. Runs like a top. It'll really get put to the test tomorrow at the Leona MG shoot. Ain't a Colt but it's my baby! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif

Haven't told James yet so....Ssshhhh! I'm hoping that you decide you don't really want a 28A1 and I can hock something and get it also..... Oh, and I'd take that crummy 1911A1 you got too.... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif
