  1. I remember a few years ago at the range with 3 of my BARs ...and a WWII paratrooper asking to hold the NESA...He remembers jumping with it before D-DAY,many times and then for the last time on D-DAY...he was half my size and weight and still in great shape...shot that BAR like it was a 22...his jump gear was 80-100 lbs and he wade 135 lbs.,,,I`ll never forget that day...
  2. I`m finishing the construction of a Chattelllerault M24/29...and I need a complete bolt assy...these seem to be very hard to find, any help would be greatly appreciated
  3. As I posted in my original reply...some people like him and some don`t..I have no problem with members/people that enjoy his video...my opinion on his info is he is incorrect on varity of firearms that I have built/repaired/refinished...strictly my opinion...based on my manufacture /repair /buying /selling hundereds postsample/transferable machineguns refinishing 1800s/1900s title one rifles and pistols.that`s it....this is not intended to insult anyone that enjoys his videos..he did post a video to not try and visit or his property..or there would be a problem..Again no offence on my part was intended
  4. You have to take this with a grain of salt....most of the members of this forum have far more accurate info them him...he gives inaccurate info on several different types of firearms.,Winchesters,remingtons,pistols,machineguns...some people like his opinions and videos and some don`t...he even threatens you if you wanted to visit him..so I just ignore for several years now...
  5. In 1966 a friend who lived in New Jersey visited his brother who owned a junkyard in Philly. That mornings adventure was the scrapping of a 1936 Packard Phaeton found in a soon to be raised warehouse.Upon removing the gas tank before crushing,a secret compartment was discovered containing 4 21 Colts w/drums...alarmed by this find all contents were turned over to the beat cop walking past the yard...today the total would be 500k-a million or more...wonder what the cop did with those Colts?
  6. Do you have to remove the blower before shooting?.. Ha...
  7. Update: Well I found a 30.06 barrel in good shape..now I am in need of a gas regulator assy...I have the chamber just need what is inside of it...
  8. Thanks Doug,... It`s great to here that your health is improving,..proof prayer and a positive outlook do indeed work.
  9. Thanks Doug...is there a difference between .303 and 30.06 springs?...
  10. I`m looking for a 30.06 barrel, front sight and gas regulator for a Savage aircraft Lewis.Any help would be much appreciated.
  11. I have had a few titanium pins with broken tips in the shop...they appear to be a tad too long...I made a run of pins out of drill blanks about 10 yrs ago and all are still running...I guess I got it right back then,,,Rockwell hardness measured 26 0n the original pins...my blanks measured 45...I used up my initial run last year...guess I `ll have to find my old fixture for another run...btw titanium is only stronger than steel by weight...not by volume...
  12. Good ole google..ha..My NESA is also stamped B.O.L. with a barrel date of 6/44...D-DAY month...which I always felt was cool...came from Kent Lomont and at onetime was owned by Roger Cox...well traveled BAR...
  13. I knew about this last summer...from an insider at the CMP I was informed they had 250,000 1911s and he inventoried them...claimed they had groups that were sequentially serial numbered ...and even found a Singer (not for sale)...went to their museum ...again this is second hand info...he brought a collection of military rifles to sell later at the Lakeland gun show...fwiw..
