Hawkeye_Joe
I'd like to get an early bipod for my BAR and some early style wood. I've found one (bipod) at Sarco but they are so damn slow in getting stuff to you. I know OOW sells the checkered forearm and stock but is there another source?? leid
Hi Hawkeye, I was facing the same problem a few months back. Sarco is the only parts house that claimed they had the early bipods, but the quality of their parts leaves a lot to be desired. I picked up a very nice early bipod(wingnuts on the bottom) off ebay. And OOW is the only place I could find that has repro 1918 wood. Numrich listed some 1918 wood, but I returned the wood they sent me. The forearm was G.I. 1918A2 and the buttstock was made for a pistol-grip style trigger group like on the later Colt Commercial BARs. Happy New Year! Hawkeye_Joe
Roger that.. I just ordered a Luger ejector from Sarco and it came bent in half. And it took nearly a week to get to me. Not so good.. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/mad.gif
