ptrthgr8
Hey, folks. I think I've finally realized that I'll be better off reloading for my Reising... with the amount of shooting I plan to do this spring/summer, I don't want to foot the bill for all that commercial ammo. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif I've done a bit of reloading for several rifle calibers (7.62x54R, .30-06, 6.5x55 Swede, 8mm Mauser, etc.) and I do have the .45 ACP dies... so it looks like all I need is a bunch of .45 ACP brass, primers, and a powder of some sort. Does anyone have any suggestions for a starting point? I'm assuming the standard 230gr. FMJ works best -- I don't really want to get into lead casting, etc. Any info will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! ~ Greg ~
coyle311
I use 230 grain bullets, and any load I've used cycles in both of my reisings. In my experience, these guns eat anything. Good luck and have fun.
21 smoker
Greg,..an easy load to remember is 5grs. of Bullseye over 230gr. rn...I cast my own,so cost is way low and easy on the guns...this load works in everything I own..Thompsons,Reisings,Macs,and Stemple76/45...even 1911s...hth.. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif
Kevin
I'll second 21 smoker- Bullseye also works with FMJ. You might also price plated bullets like Berry's. Kevin
