deerslayer
Just saw a story across the pond, you now MUST microchip and register your dogs in Great Britain. What is coming next, an outright ban on Dog ownership! Oh, it will start small, just certain kinds of dogs banned, then you will need to take a class in proper dog handling, then perhaps you can still have your dog, but it will have to be kept at a central location where you can check out your dog to use at an approved dog range. Oh, and imagine the consequences if you dog should accidentally PROTECT you from a mugger by BITING the thug........... Finally outright ban on civilian dog ownership. Then, once the British model is in place, it will come here, probably the Canadians first. Then, perhaps a global UN ban on dogs. http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/0,2106,3618756a10,00.html
Norm
It was GB that wanted to ban "pointy kitchen knives" because they were being used in crimes. I don't know if they did ban these knives or not, but I remember reading about it. When will governments realize that CRIMINALS cause crimes, not guns, dogs, knives, etc. Norm
faabala
The UK banned several breeds of dogs back in 1991. http://www.opsi.gov.uk/ACTS/acts1991/Ukpga...910065_en_1.htm They even convicted Princess Anne http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/2497531.stm
