I believe worse case with the ORF is that you may have to buy a new sear and trigger, but not certain.

I didn't read anything about a crank system added to your 1919 and why NOT???? Other than a tripod, ammo and links, a crank system should be the first accessory purchased. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif

I built my 1919a4 a couple years ago from an 80% Ohio Rapid Fire RSP and an Izzy kit in 7.62 NATO.

The tripod was made from junk I had in my basement and about $5 for some hardware.

The green cloth belts were on sale last year at IMA for $8.95 each.

I think that the build of the LMG will be about half the price of the build of the SMG!

I don't do blanks , but if you could borrow an adjustable BFA and find out what port size works with your gun/blank combo , you could then buy a booster , weld up the hole , and drill out to that port size. Nice and cheep. I've never done , but others on the 1919 board do this. Chris
