captain mike
Does anyone know what method was used to weld the two receiver halves together and the threaded barrel trunion to the receiver ? I know Guide Lamp had problems with warpage when they first started production on the M3. It must have been some form of electric arc since, I think torch welding would have been very slow and difficult to control.
Remo Williams
Capt Mike, In Frank's Grease Gun book there is a B&W photo of women welding some receivers. It is not that clear, I can only make out that they are being held is a vice like contraption. When I was having my Medea M3A1 welded, I was told that the demilled GL parts that I had, were welded by a machine. I never asked what the name of the machine.
