TSMGguy
I thought you guys might like to see some photos of a very high quality replica blank firing MP38, made one at a time by an artisan in the Czech Replublic. It is of machined steel, with new bakelite stock furniture and a correct aluminum grip frame. It fires 9mm blanks at the correct rate of fire using original magazines. Note the careful reproduction of all markings! Parts are said to be mostly interchangable with originals. Yes, Erma was still making MP38s in 1941. http://www.thuringenmilitaria.com/repos/pictures/mp38-1.jpg http://www.thuringenmilitaria.com/repos/pictures/mp38-2.jpg http://www.thuringenmilitaria.com/repos/pictures/mp38-3.jpg Edited April 30, 2008 by TSMGguy
TSMGguy
I stand corrected. The fonts used for serial numbers on the replica pictured above are just right. Here's an original: http://imageshack.us/f/395/mp38mg32on.jpg/
Mike Hammer
Can this be imported to the U.S, guessing NO? Mike Hammer
TSMGguy
Mike, I noticed this item being offered for sale in 2008. I can't imagine that the "gun" is importable under current rules. Looks to be a nice piece, though! Edited November 8, 2011 by TSMGguy

james m
I have a blank firing UZI that was imported by Marushen (sp?) several years ago. This is the model with the 9mm shells you unscrew and put caps in. It has never worked worth a hoot.Jim
