  1. Your getting all worked up about something that will never happen. Once the government takes away freedoms, you never get them back. Change will only occur from a refusal to obey, supported by violence if necessary.
  2. Those Lewis guns were in a bunch of films besides "Kong". Here's one in "Passage To Marseille" with Bogy. I think that there was also one in another Bogy film, "Across The Atlantic". It would be nice to know what films these guns appeared in for the present day owners but I don't think that the records still exist. Photo from my personal collection.
  3. Commies using US made guns. Their political ideology was retarded but they recognized great firearms when they had them.
  4. Photo is from the 1960's, before the enforcer was made. Zoom in on the barrel muzzles. Have you ever seen such misshapen distorted muzzles on a real shoot able gun.
  5. Probably just toy guns. Look at the irregularities of symmetry of the barrel and shroud ends.
  6. Aaron is always good, you were lucky to cast him. I see that Lochlyn Munroe is in there too. I just did a couple of scenes with him last week in a film shot here in Louisiana, what are the odds. The next time you are casting a film, drop me a line, I can bring my own Thompson!
  7. I like to do this on all my WW2 German guns because those Krauts had all kinds of stamps on their guns that are cool to see and that makes them stand out.
  8. Here's a chart showing sales prices for tube MP 40's over the years. http://machinegunpriceguide.com/html/german_subguns_5.html
  9. Chase was not in "A Christmas Story". A much better actor by the name of Darren McGavin played the dad enamored with the leg lamp.
  10. Awesome photos Frank. The plane mounted guns are a pretty wild idea.
  11. Yup, a rubber prop gun much like the one pictured here on a photo Bob Stack signed for me.
  12. Crash, great story, thanks. One has to wonder why Gene didn't get to fulfill his Thompson urge years earlier when he was making "Bonnie and Clyde". By this on set photo it seems like Beatty and Dunnaway didn't want to relinquish their Thompsons and Gene seems to be thinking, " the "stars" get the Thompsons and I'm left holding this stupid Winchester". HA! Just Kidding. By the late 80's Hackman had acquired enough wealth to build his dream home. A truly beautiful house inside and out. He worked hand in hand with the architectural firm and this is the home that he lived in for the rest of his life. Thought you might enjoy a peek of his place and see how some of the wealthy film stars live. Also attached a phot0 that he signed for me 30 years ago. Terrific actor, he seemed to make it look like he was never acting, that is high praise indeed.
  13. Nope, crime didn't pay for ol' Johnny. Got to admit though, he had style.
  14. "I had nothin to do with that" says Alphonse Capone. "I was fishin' off my boat when that happened". Ahh, the "Good Ol Days. Missing Sandy here, what a wealth of knowledge and stories.
  15. This photo was discussed not that long ago as I recall identifying the soldiers outfit that Bob had requested.
  16. Ron, here's a previous thread on "Hell is for Heroes". We just lost one of the last cast members, funnyman Bob Newhart. Worth another watch, grab the popcorn and tune in .https://www.machinegunboards.com/forums/index.php?/topic/15499-steve-mcqueens-grease-gun/#comment-128814
  17. Has anyone measured the brass wall thickness for comparison against other makers?
  18. And their prices are laughably high. Wouldn’t touch them with the proverbial 10 ft pole.
  19. By the time you’re kids would be getting them, they will either be outlawed or everyone will have them again…
