Grasshopper
Hi, Nice old firearm. Not that rare IMHO. I'm aware of 4 M6 with lower S/N's than that. (Look closely at the reference section ) I think the starting price has one too many zeros. Either way, good to see they are getting to the market. The market will decide. Enjoy, Grasshopper
Rebel Rifle Ordnance LLC
I recently bought a theee dihi one from Ruben Mendiola for $6800. Granted it's not mint but I love it. I successfully converted a thompson mag and plan on converting more. It really was that hard.
huggytree
mine is better shape for $6,300 and it sat for months at $7500 on a dealer website...the one before mine sold for $5,500 in a week on Sturm... i think the seller is mixed up and thinks he has a Colt Thompson...and even then its over priced by a few thousand.....or he is leaving himself $38,000 room to bargain? glad to see another one on the market though.....seems like 2-3 a year show up somewhere for sale now where are those parts kits? he doesnt know 50% of them made have a 3 digit number....ha question: what is the highest serial # known? mine is #1243.....there are supposed to 2,000 made but ive never seen #1900....i think i saw a #15xx somewhere Edited August 31, 2017 by huggytree

huggytree
and i didnt think yours would sell quick either.....so im afraid to pick on this one too much...i might be proven wrong again...just needs the right person at the right time...in the past these guns have not sold as quick as yours did....you just happen to be in the market for one....its an odd/rare gun and it takes a special person to want one.....the Mac book is what got me interested....in the back of my mind i always wanted one....when i lost the $5,500 one i knew where the market was and i offered $6,000 on the other one available....still kicking my self for not buying the $5,500 one...it sat for 4-7 days and by the time i decided it was gone....it was on GB for $7k+ i think for a few weeks before that...i noticed it the whole time..... yours will just be known as the Patina M6 as i can be known for being the bully over it Edited August 31, 2017 by huggytree
Rebel Rifle Ordnance LLC
Yes, in the MG world you either pay much now or later. The days of getting it at a steal are all but gone. If a good transferable is close to market price and I want it, then I pull the trigger. 10 or 20 years from now it's be worth a lot more for my kids and / or retirement if I can bring myself to sell any. huggytree
ended at $6500.....pretty much what they are selling for....curious if it will come back again at $45,000 reserve again....im actually surprised it went as high as $6,500 since other than Rubens the ones ive seen tend to sit for a while
huggytree
Someone just bid $10,000 for this. Holy crap Mine is in better shape. As a % its my best appreciating machine gun. Up 55% in 10 months I may have to sell mine and cash in when I get my stamp. Wonder if some one bought in to the rare 3 digit serial number or thought they were bidding on a Thompson Sad thing is that it probably wont sell due to an ignorant seller. lonniejt
I agree! $40 or 45K is really a premium for these guns! There are not that many of them, so I could believe $10K because I think they have been under valued for ages. The only reason that M11's have vaulted in value is because of Richard Lage because he developed so many accessories for them and made them controllable too. Do a reliable conversion with high capacity for 9MM or 40 S&W and see where the price of these guns will rise!!!
huggytree
i think the $10k was a shill bid....seen it before.....a nicer gun from Frank has been for sale for 4 weeks+ and only gotten to $7,
Rebel Rifle Ordnance LLC
I sold mine for $8,000 and I told the buyer that IMHO I wouldn't take less than $9,500 for it with six mags. It's a very sweet gun and I think that $8 to $9,5K is reasonable price. Plus mag's are back on the market for now with Century. I converted a couple Thompson mags prior to selling mine and it was super easy. Had a lot of feedback of how difficult it was going to be and the first one I made in 30 min's worked perfectly. Wasn't factory beautiful but it did work and the next one I improved even better.
huggytree
you have the highest sold price ive heard of since i bought mine.......Franks is minty...yet he can only get $7,000 bid....his is the nicest ive seen.... i think the gun is worthy of a $10k price tag....its not original looking, but is original mechanically......i think parts is what holds it back....Soooooo many mac guys who own all 3 mac's....youd think they would have an interest in owning ingrams first gun...its why i own it obviously mags were never an issue......there's enough for everyone to go around now.....endless when you think about how rare the m6 is........parts? ive been looking weekly for 14 months now...the one small batch of parts i grabbed.....still looking for a full parts kit
Rebel Rifle Ordnance LLC
Does Frank still have the M6 available? I may need it. I have some extended charging handles if anyone here wants one. $30 shipped.
huggytree
if you have a part for the Ingram ill take it....if its original frank had it last time i saw Dave
Rebel Rifle Ordnance LLC
It's actually made from a Stemple charging handle. It looks good can post a pic up. About half an inch or so longer than oem. Edited January 30, 2018 by Rebel Rifle Ordnance LLC
huggytree
cool how you made these and your own m6/thompson mags..... im just looking for factory oem spares.... not enough of a market for any new parts for this gun....just not enough of them around
Rebel Rifle Ordnance LLC
The charging handles were made by John Stemple. Got them from Mike Stemple who has some of his spare parts. Had a machine shop cut the diameter of the base so it would fit into an M6 bolt. For the Thompson conversion, I just cut off the spine, welded a piece of metal on the back and filed a notch for the mag release. If you cut the spine just right, it also will work as a block to keep the mag from going in to high. It had a little wobble. Considered welding some beads on the side of the mag to act as mag stops / stabilizers but sold the gun before I did so.
huggytree
why did you sell it? you only had it for 6+ months? good that you made a profit
Rebel Rifle Ordnance LLC
You said the word, profit. I usually keep MG's for as long as I can until I need money for something else! If I had the extra cash, I may would by the one that Frank has but it's at the top of the market price IMHO as he shared with me what he would have to have for it. huggytree
he sends weekly emails $7700 i think...i think he was foolish not to grab $7k when it was offered...Frank seems to have a new business model lately....sell his normal grade stuff, but at ruben prices...hes gotten much better pictures and IS selling at ruben prices on some of his stuff......this is why i wont buy another FA w/o flying to see it anymore....the days of trust are gone for me Edited February 1, 2018 by huggytree
