TSMGguy
Happy birthday to Piper L-4A "Grasshopper" 43-29080, rolled out at the factory at Lock Haven, PA on 26 MAY 1943, 75 years ago today. It was delivered to the US Army on 28 MAY 1943, and ferried immediately to Ft. Polk, LA, where it spent the war years. It was sold onto the civilian market by the Reconstruction Finance Corporation in January, 1946. I am the sixth owner. What's it doing on its birthday? Going flying, of course!
