dalbert
OLD RSM, Nice Bren, and nice pictures of it. Is it a live Bren in Canada? The sling apppears bluish in color, similar to the web gear used in the air force. Is that just a coincidence, or would the sling be considered an air force sling for the Bren? Is the sling Canadian or British? The Holdall bag looks fully stocked! David Albert dalbert@sturmgewehr.com

Is that the one which loads from the 5 round stripper clips, or the one where you put 5 rounds into the loader and push the handle?
John Sukey
The loader clamps to the metal box that holds the spare magazines. You drop the loaded five round chargers on it and pull the lever. I am Kumpewter illiterate and never learned how to post pics, or for that matter load them into this electronic instrument of satan. I bought a digital camera years ago and since the instruction booklet weighs more than the camera, I never figured out how to use it :banghead: Edited February 23, 2011 by John Sukey
samnev
I have an Inglis Mk I*. It is my favorite LMG. I can't believe how soft the recoil is. You can shoot it all day without being arm weary. That is if you can find a supply of 303 which is very hard to find these days. So I have to reload all my 303.
jerrys
Samnev - I have an Enfield Mk1 that I will soon need to start reloading for. I have been saving all my brass. I am an experienced reloader - 10 yrs+, 2 rifle and 6 pistol calibers using a Dillon 550. I would appreciate any info on reloading the 303 you could pass on. What brand of dies, powder/powder weight, bullets and from what sources and manufactures Thanks Jerry
m3bobby
This is my favourite Bren, a L4A2. http://i921.photobucket.com/albums/ad51/m3bobby/Bren/UE60A5464right.jpg And this was a suprise when I found it on another of my favourites, a 1941 Inglis Mk1m Intermediate, 1 of only 500 made. (A gun marked Mk1m but still has the second dovetail). There was/is of these rare guns for sale in Canada last time I looked. http://i921.photobucket.com/albums/ad51/m3bobby/Bren/NaziEagleonBren.jpg
mwarnick1
I'm just starting reloading with my Bren and I can give one piece of advice to watch for. I'm currently loading Hornady 174 gr FMJ's. I ran into a problem with these projectiles when loading so that it crimped on the bullet ogive. Loading to this length causes a much shorter OAL than military surplus rounds. The shorter rounds were then allowed to move back and forth in the magazine and rimlock themselves. The one reloading tip I have at this point is that you might have to go long on the OAL (when compared to the ogive) to match the military surplus ammo. Good luck.
