  1. Thanks for that! I have seen the models made by GE which have the GE below the serial number and I have also observed M9A1 models of which a 6 digit number is preceded by letters CB (Bigelow????) My M9A1 however also has a - in front of the 5digit number...
  2. Does anyone have info on dates of manufacture or issue of WW2 bazookas? How about the serial number with a - in front of the 1st number... Legit? Below is the M9A1 of the Belgian Commando Museum, but I have seen the same style on other examples... No GE marking, so I suppose it wasn't made by GE but rather Bigelow... Can anyone confirm all this??? Thanks http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s234/johanwillaert/Forums/M9A1.jpg
  3. Hi all, Some A6 BMG were in fact modified A4 that had the barrel changed and all... Can anyone confirm if any M1919A6 were modified from M1919A5 receivers???? Would it be considered correct even if it was NOT overstamped??? Thanks JOhan
  4. Hi all, I've just added this to the collection.... all original parts..... http://users.pandora.be/theliberator/Other/Ordnance/M1919A4/M1919A4Small.jpg http://users.pandora.be/theliberator/Other/Ordnance/M1919A4/M1919A4MarkingsSmall.jpg http://users.pandora.be/theliberator/Other/Ordnance/M1919A4/M1919A4MountM2MarkingsSmall.jpg It has the later narrow barrel bearing.... Anyone know when this was introduced???? Thanks, Johan
  5. Please help me out... I've been wondering... Were A6 Machine Gun receivers marked M1919A6? Or were they marked M1919A4... I suppose lots of A4 had the stock and bipod added and were used in A6 configuration... Would it be correct to use an A4 in A6 configuration or not? Thanks, Johan
  6. Here's your chance..... It seems de-activated and it's missing some parts.... http://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=841997 Johan
  7. QUOTE (philasteen @ Mar 30 2006, 12:19 PM) Johan, how much for a FG-42? I have no idea, I've never seen one for sale..... But I'm convinced it would be very expensive...
  8. QUOTE (Motorcar @ Mar 30 2006, 11:36 AM) Do live full auto Thompson items command the same prices in your country as they do here? Actually no.... Registered TSMG can be bought here for about 750-1000USdollars, provided the buyer has a license too... De-activated TSMG sell for about 750-800USdollars... M1928 is generally more expensive than M1(A1) models... JOhan
  9. Hi all, As Bryan says, I've been collecting WW2 US Army militaria for over 25 years. About 12 years ago I obtained a License that qualified me as a Registered Fire-Arms Collector. As far as shooting goes; it's become harder and harder to find ranges which allow for long distance and full auto firing of these guns... I rarely shoot these guns... I'm a professional Army NCO with nearly 25 years of service.... I've spent a considerable amount of time at the ranges.... For a small sample of my collection, feel free to check out my site at: http://users.pandora.be/theliberator Enjoy, Johan
  10. I've had one since 1985.... Another only has the US on the front middle flap.... NO markings on the inside of the belt loop either... I'm pretty convinced they are OK... Johan
  11. Interesting story about the 42XA in North Africa.... I don't recall ever seeing a photo of a XA in the ETO but of course it's possible.... There will not have been many though.... I have seen about 4 or 5 XA's in the last 10 years...all were in the US or just imported from the US.... Johan
  12. QUOTE (PhilOhio @ May 12 2005, 07:53 PM) Johan, That is one beautiful rig. Just curious, since I love working with leather, but did you do the seat? Are the bags original or recent custom? They look nice. How about the scabbard? The saddle is an original seat pan covered with new leather... The bags and TSMG scabbard are original.. Johan
  13. In fact the 42XA probably never saw use in the ETO.... To get back to TSMG.... Here's my WLA bike with TSMG and scabbard... http://users.pandora.be/theliberator/LiberatorImages/42wla31854.jpg For show rides, the scabbard holds a wooden model made to the dimensions of my M1928A1.... Onlt the stock and sling are WW2.... http://users.pandora.be/theliberator/Other/Ordnance/Toys.jpg The BAR was made when I was a kid.... Johan
  14. I thought you would all like this picture.... http://users.pandora.be/theliberator/LiberatorImages/WartimeLibImages/42WLAColor.jpg It's from the liberator page of My Webpage Enjoy, Johan
