  1. I am wrong. The post I saw was 2017. And I may be wrong about them moving to a new server.
  2. I just saw it on the message board but now I can't find it. It was a newbe question about a site he had found. I myself have found and lost the location to the new server site for nfatoys. It's out there.
  3. A friend on the message board turned me on to the book downloadable from archive.org. The search title I found to work is David S. Findlay Firearm Anatomy Book 1. All of the parts drawings for M1A1 I need to work on a SOT project. That and the new location for nfatoys.com has made my day.
  4. I would like to have those. You can email me any time at guns@lcgnm.com
  5. I'm glad to hear this. I believe you were the buyer of my Thompson gage collection. Broeker thru Damon (tommygunner.com)
  6. Yes It could have been Tracie Hill. I believe I sold him a large collection of Thompson inspection guages and the fellow I was working with had contact with him. Is Tracie still with us?
  7. Years ago I had the use of an original Thompson blueprint provided by Doug Richardson. I was able to use those dimensions to create a CAD file of the lower. Does anyone know Where I can buy or use the print to check my work? I was new to CNC and CAD/CAM.
  8. Tons of fun and a barrel of laughs. Thanks for the encouragement.
  9. I am sorry about bouncing the price. It will be the same for both Gunbroker and lcgnm.com I am new to selling on gunbroker and the rapid response caught me off guard. If I can find a way to produce dwindling parts and do gunsmithing it will be fun and a challenge,
  10. Thank you Bob. Sorry for my confusing the part name. I have been selling on Gunbroker but have suspended the auction for the time being. I do have them for the same price on my website' I am so new to the selling structure on Gunbroker it seems to be easier to just take orders lcgnm.com
  11. I don't know if you noticed, but that new picture is gone. And I'm not the only one experiencing this loss of newly published pictures..
  12. I was thinking the same thing. They will have a L inside a circle lase engraved on the back.
  13. I made them to the prints I found here. The are the same only new.
  14. I have made my first run of pivot plates and have them on gunbroaker and my website. I sent one to Dan and he likes it. They work and look good.
  15. Hi This is Las Cruces gunsmith. I am returning a new aluminum lower to you no charge. You can proceed as you wish. Sorry I tried but the aluminum lower did buckle some on test firing. It would be a liability to continue.
  16. I have a customer that has registered his 1927A-1-C pistol as SBR. Rather than modify his lower for a butt stock will a steel frame for the rifle function?
  17. I have found a seller online called Bruno Militaria selling 1928 pivot plates at $40 ea. After ordering 3 he has ghosted me. No charge on my card just an email response acknowledging the order.
  18. Just what the dr. ordered. And I found the pins. Very nice Thank you
  19. I have searched the web for a source. to buy No one has any. I recreate the 1928 lower from 1927 A-1 . Part of the recreation is making the rocker pivot activate a bolt hold open. Now I'm down to my last 2 original pivot plates with a back log of lowers to yet complete. I can modyfy the semi plate by adding the finger and make the little piece from pre-hard 1075 spring steel. I have spring stock coming from McMaster Carr but what I thought was 2,5 feet of 4-inch-wide stock turns out to be 25 ft. Lucky me. My request from the board is: does any know of blueprint of the rocker plate? With 25 ft. of material to eat up, why not water jet the pieces? I hope someone can point me to a good print. Thanks
  20. All great advice. I had planned on using a 1/4 endmill as is called out in the print. I too have cut many dovetails in barrels and slides always with a slot. But not often into a pocket. The tech at Harvey indicated that it may take 2 to 3 passes each side.
  21. It seems you have experience with CNC laurencen. I have not used a 2 flute dovetail cutter before. Harvy tools has a good tech department and speed and feed charts. 2 flutes, it would seem, have greater flute strength. I'd really hate snapping a $104 cutter out of ignorance. any advice? I appreciate your input here.
