I bellied up to the bar and ordered 2 of these drums, I asked the lady if she was getting low on these and she said that they looked to have a "good amount" left. I wonder if there was only 300 available or if there were actually more. Now to just save up the money and get one of the 1928 parts kits built up.

If you thought that was stupid have you ever seen one of the original AR-7 rifles from the factory made up like a Thompson? I have one and it has the wood stock and vertical foregrip as well as a barrel with cooling fins. Somebody told me that it was available for a relatively short time and not that many were made...no pics available as I don't have a digital camera.

I had ordered one of the kits from RGuns and the Lyman rear sight and it's a beautiful kit...but from what I see here I need to order one of these as well as the accessory kit and get off MUCH cheaper than I did with RGuns. I found a Beretta 38a DEWAT for $250 at a gun shop and am curious if that is a good buy? I'm familiar with parts kit prices but not for a DEWAT. TIA
