car wash chris replied to dalbert's topic in Reising Message Board
Likewise I saw them too, a very nice group. I have never seen that many displayed so well at one time. He had a couple interesting Thompson's too. Chris -

That's in nice shape, congrats. Maybe Kirkland still has his 55 at OGCA, and it's only weeks away. Chris -
M2 Trigger Group on Gunbroker?
car wash chris replied to coastie70's topic in The M1/M2 Carbine Message Board
Thanks guys , My bad not sure what I was thinking when I wrote that. I forgot the the spring and plunger are counted as two parts, and for some reason thought the sear was. It's more embarrassing to say that you would think I would remember something like that, being I own a registered kit. LOL Chris -
M2 Trigger Group on Gunbroker?
car wash chris replied to coastie70's topic in The M1/M2 Carbine Message Board
He's skating on thin ice, it's possible that it may NOT have a M2 sear, { we can't see it }, If that's the case then it could be sold as parts -
Thanks , That's probably my best bet.

The one I have is very nice in appearance, but there is a hair line crack going with the grain along the belly. Plus when I tore it down yesterday to clean it I noticed a very small chunk of wood that was laying around where the screw comes up from the bottom of the stock. I plan on having these things repaired but was wondering if there were any after market stocks out there that I could use as a shooter stock? I would even consider a synthetic. Thanks Chris

Hey thanks for all the pictures, I think you did great. I considered one at the Ohio Gun Collectors Association this weekend. It was #15286 with a rusted barrel and no mag $495. Chris

Good points ! They approved it but they probably didn't know what part was going to be marked ? I wasn't up to date when all this was coming to a head, did the BATFE mandate that only one of the seven was to be marked ? I have no interest in buying it as I already own a legal kit. Just thought it was interesting.

Broad Head Armory M1 to M2 Conversion Kit
car wash chris replied to Robert Henley's topic in The M1/M2 Carbine Message Board
I have a Broad Head Armory registered kit, the { kit } serial number is engraved on the disconector lever, I have used it both an Inland and Winchester Host gun. Runs great ! -
I would be interested in a early Underwood if you have one, complete on not. chriswashescars@aol.com All the barrels are in cosmoline and in their original shipping wrap. I do not want to pick through them looking for the markings as some people would prefer the barrels in the original untouched wrap. I understand ! Thanks for the reply. Chris

If you have a registered receiver it has to go to a certain kind of license, unless you stay with it. If you take it out of state you have you get the NFA blessing I believe a form 5320.20

car wash chris replied to car wash chris's topic in The M1/M2 Carbine Message Board

FYI M2 registered Kit for sale
car wash chris replied to car wash chris's topic in The M1/M2 Carbine Message Board
Mine is a kit, the lever is the numbered part. The aromory's name and city/state is on the TH. I'm wondering if the 2 need to stay together,to be compliant. Chris -
FYI M2 registered Kit for sale
car wash chris replied to car wash chris's topic in The M1/M2 Carbine Message Board
Chris when people or Aromory's registered a kit with the atf, were they required to mark somewhere who the MFG was { jim smith or @#^%$ Armory }. Like today when you do an SBR your required to engrave who made the change. Hope I make sence. Chris -
FYI M2 registered Kit for sale
car wash chris replied to car wash chris's topic in The M1/M2 Carbine Message Board
Both good points ! I thought likewise about the Th being marked but then saw what I think to be writing on the disconector lever. But didn't they also require the maker of the kit to engrave their name and address as well. If the TH and the lever are both marked, how do they view this. I wasn't in the game when this was going down did the atf ask what part was to be marked ? Chris -
Just saw this and thought I remembered someone looking for one. Chris http://www.onlythebestfirearms.com/DesertOrdnanceM2.html

Jim Thanks for correcting me, I only looked at your OP post you showed the 225 lyman faster than the 230 ranier with the same load, { hence my conclusion } > I found your graph that Dalbert posted NICE WORK by the way and a big thanks, I just happen to have some 185/200 berrys loaded with tight group, I beleive @ 5 grains. I'll keep you posted. And Doc thanks for the heads up on where to find parts. Chris

Well you guys have given me alot to think about, and some education to boot. According to Jim C's test a lighter bullet will only increase the ROF. I ran it yesterday with factory ball, so I'm going to stay with the 230 gr and just gradually go down in powder and see what happens. The link to Paul F's findings was a great read and easy to understand. I beleive the former owner said he had wolf springs in the gun at this time, what's the chance of me finding NOS springs ? I will be at KRC in OCT maybe there ??? Thanks Chris

Picked up my Reising 2 days ago and went to the range today. It ran very well, with the exception of a 2 light primer strikes that didn't fire. The rate of fire was very fast { at least compared to my mac 10/45 } I was wondering since I reload if I load some rounds on the weak side will that slow the ROF or can I change springs. Thanks Chris
